   - **Safe Practices**: The technician must follow all recommended guidelines for car seat installation, ensuring that the seat is correctly secured to minimize risk during a crash.
   - **No Modifications**: The technician should not modify the car seat in any way that would void the manufacturer's warranty or compromise the integrity of the seat.
4. **Conditions of the Car Seat**
   - **Age and Condition of the Seat**: The technician may refuse to install a car seat if it is expired, recalled, damaged, or otherwise deemed unsafe.
   - **Second-Hand Seats**: The technician may advise against using second-hand seats unless they meet specific safety criteria and have a clear history.

   - **Non-Modification of Vehicle**: The technician should not modify or alter any part of the vehicle or car seat, such as installing additional anchors or using non-standard components.
   - **Follow-Up Assistance**: If the technician provides installation services, they may recommend a follow-up appointment to ensure the seat remains secure after the vehicle undergoes changes (e.g., cleaning, repositioning).
6. **Fees and Payments**
   - **Service Fees**: The technician should provide a clear breakdown of costs associated with their services (e.g., installation, inspection, educational services).

   - **Availability**: The technician should provide clear hours of operation, including availability for emergency or after-hours services if offered.
10. **Post-Service Support**
   - **Ongoing Support**: The technician should provide ongoing support for questions about car seat use, maintenance, and safety, either by phone, email, or scheduled follow-up appointments.
   - **Emergency Help**: The technician may offer guidance in case of emergencies, such as after an accident, but should not provide direct replacement of the seat or liability coverage for the incident.
11. **Legal and Regulatory Compliance**
   - **Adherence to Standards**: The technician must comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding child passenger safety, including any regulations related to the installation, inspection, and use of child safety seats.
   - **Recall Notification**: The technician should notify clients of any car seat recalls or safety issues related to the seats they are working with.
12. **Quality of Service**
   - **Guarantee of Service Quality**: The technician should guarantee a certain level of service, ensuring the car seat is installed according to safety standards. However, the technician is not liable for the performance of the car seat beyond the installation process.
   - **Customer Satisfaction**: The technician should strive for customer satisfaction, offering a refund or correction of service if the client is not satisfied, within a reasonable period after service.

These general terms and conditions ensure both the safety of the child and the technician’s responsibility in providing high-quality, professional services.
